New kitchen trends for 2022

If the hustle and bustle of Christmas entertaining last year has got you pining for a new kitchen, then you’re not alone!
The beginning of each year brings with it a flurry of customers who’ve solemnly sworn, ‘that was the last Christmas I cook in this kitchen.’
For us kitchen nerds, this isn’t our first rodeo. And at the beginning of each year, thanks to our hardworking manufacturers, we’re able to launch many new products and ranges to ensure your new kitchen is brand new!
So, without further ado, here’s what 2022 has to offer…
Our friends at Symphony have recently introduced the Harvard kitchen range and expansions to its Princeton Collection that will turn any kitchen into a functional space for cooking, dining, relaxing, entertaining, and home working.

The classic Harvard range by Symphony

The Harvard in Hunter green, pictured above, is proving a hugely popular design and colour already, and it’s easy to see why! Green is a surprisingly timeless colour for a kitchen. It is, after all, the colour of rebirth and is proven to improve your mood, making the perfect tone to drag you out of the January blues!

The handleless shaker Princeton range

The Inline Princeton in White Chalk, pictured below in an open plan kitchen style, is ideal for those wanting to explore the monochrome trend, predicted to be significant for 2022. This colour can also brighten small spaces or contrast kitchens with a colourful backdrop.

Kitchens with a nude pallet

Another trend expected to explode this year is neutral and nude pallets.
Our kitchen range partners at Laura Ashley predicted this towards the end of last year and extended their painted door options to include a wide range of cool and warm tones to suit any style.

Customised boot rooms with optimised storage

‘Tis now the season for dirty feet and muddy paws! If you’re considering a boot room or utility for your home this year, then check out this beauty from our Laura Ashley range, The Harbury…

If you ever frequent Pinterest, you’ll know that boot rooms are a style must-have for those who have the space (this can be in the form of an adequate sized porch, utility, or hallway), and it’s something we can also design and fit for you.
These work exceptionally well when they’re matched to your kitchen cabinets to create fluidity and the illusion of more space downstairs.

Other big style rises for the new year are predicted to be bold colours, more herringbone floors and a rise in marble worktops.
